Physicians: Justin D. Rothmier, MD


Dr. Rothmier is board-certified in family medicine with sub-specialization in sports medicine. He received his medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, followed by a residency at the University of California, Davis in Sacramento, CA and a fellowship in sports medicine at the University of Washington. He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, the American Medical Society for Sports Medicine, the Washington Academy of Family Physicians, the Washington State Medical Association and the American College of Sports Medicine.

His special interests include adolescent throwing and sports injuries, and the use of automatic external defibrillators in athletic settings. Dr. Rothmier acts as team physician for a variety of professional and school sports teams, including the Seattle Mariners, Seattle Pacific University Athletics, Shorewood High School, Bellevue Community College and the Rat City Roller Girls. He is also medical director of the Seafair Unlimited Hydroplane Races and the Kirkland Half Marathon. Outside of medicine, Dr. Rothmier enjoys golf, team sports and rooting for the Huskies.
